Reading: The wee free men
So I finally got the camera.
The D200 is GREAT, and it was well worth the wait.
Getting it here was quite stressfull, with the courier taking ages, and then handing it to the postie, who dropped it in my shed beside the tractor (in the open, yes) thoough it clearly said Signature required.
This is Northland!!!
After 17 years I'm still not used to it.
Anyway, so I made a trip to the westcoast to try the camera, and of course it was BLUE sky when I left and of course the sky had turned to custard when I got there. And of course I had planned to stay overnight. and looking at the sky decided to head home for my comfy bed, and of course the sky was pretty clear when I got here again....
Got some neat pics anyway, I hope. Was playing with a flock of black fronted terns, that is I chased them up to get pics of them flying, and then they settled down again to watch me stumble over the rocks.
And I got some sweet pics of flax bushes and pines against a beautiful sunset.
Wish I had somebody to go with me though. I always have to force myself to do anything at all when I'm alone (which is chronic by now I guess).
I might have a look into converting my D70 to infrared. Looks very interesting.
Cheers
Armin
